Underwater welding is a skill which all diving companies offer, but the separation begins to widen where diving companies are required to write Welding Procedures and qualify diving welders to them.

We provide one of our proven and tested Underwater Welding Procedures for all projects. We select a procedure which fits the application at the moment.

Where new procedures must be written, we write a procedure and test it in one of our three underwater test tanks in Jacksonville. If the procedure works well, and is qualified, the task to qualify welders to the procedure is undertaken. The Diver-Welders assigned to the job, and whom have qualified to the procedure can then practice in the welding test tank.

We designed and developed Dry Habitat Welding procedures using a dry hyperbaric welding habitat. The habitat can be used to seal around the object to be welded, the water is removed, and diver-welders conduct the repairs in the “dry”.

Wet welding procedures are available to meet American Welding Society AWS D3.6-93 standards for Class welds.

We meet certain welding codes for the American Bureau of Shipping, Det Norske Veritas, Lloyds Registry of Shipping, Bureau Veritas, etc.

The diving school here trains divers in underwater welding and certifies them to AWS D3.6M-1999 standards.

Commercial Diver Apprenticeship Training

Employees and certain other employees from cooperating employer / diving companies may participate in a OJT – Apprenticeship Commercial Diver training Program we run to train new commercial divers. The program is 30 months in duration and provides ADCI Commercial Diver certification. Successful graduates also receive a diploma from the State of Florida as “Commercial Divers”.

This is a 4000 hour program with classroom, practical and OJT training. It covers all of the required subjects in the ANSI/ACDE standards and meets the approval of the ADCI. The ADCI has audited our training curriculum and Commercial Diving School, Inc is a member of the Association of Diving Contractors International.

Pipeline OQ Assessments, Performance Verifications , Evaluations, & Training

We provide certifications to Pipeline OQ standards meeting the requirements of over 240 pipeline operators. Our Master Trainer and Pipeline Core Instructors can provide training on pipeline covered tasks by using the Contren Learning Series. We conduct Assessments and Performance Verifications to NCCER standards.

Evaluations are conducted by a Veriforce approved Evaluator. Covered tasks are evaluated for Veriforce pipeline operators. All evaluations are fee-based and conducted at your location or in a field setting.

▫ DOT Drug & Alcohol Training Programs

We have Federal DOT approved training programs compliant with 49 CFR Parts 199 and 40. We have awareness programs for the general employees and our subcontractors and Supervisors Programs for management employees, first line supervisors, and foremen. We include customer employees and subcontractors in the training whenever convenient.

The company uses Pipeline Testing Consortium as our third party collection agent, program manager, Medical Review Officer, and NIDA 5 panel laboratory. ▫ Pipeline Training and Testing Programs

NCCER – National Center for Construction Education and Research is our primary training, assessment, evaluation, and performance provider. We have been working with NCCER since their involvement in the Pipeline Craft Skills originated with them. We have an Administrator and Master Trainer, Subject Matter Experts and many enriched employees who have participated in their programs. They are located on the web at www.nccer.org

Veriforce is an assessment and performance evaluation service provider for us. We have an administrator and SME approved by them as well. Certain clients only accept PV’s or Assessments from one national governing body or another. Veriforce can be located on the web at www.veriforce.com

Our collection database for all OQ information ( other than Veriforce) is stored and maintained on the WWW.IsNetworld.com site and it is accessible to pipeline operators nationwide. We have insurance data, Safety, Safe Practices statistics, OSHA 300 Logs and information, personnel statistics, personal qualifications on all personnel, company information and other very valuable data on this vast database.

▫ SCQ-V Safety Compliance Quality – Verified

The HSE safety programs for the company are submitted and audited by National Compliance Management Service NCMS, which verifies our compliance to OSHA and other agencies. This compliance verification is extensive and the only acceptable score is 100% compliance. NCMS is directed by our customers to conduct the safety audits. Our compliance scores are also available on the www.IsNetworld.com website.
